A Soulful Trek is what results when a vacation and a retreat get married and have a child. Please join me in this exciting and life-changing adventure to one of the most magical and mystical sacred sites on our planet. One of the new seven wonders of the world, Machu Picchu, which means “Old Mountain,” is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
In the historical center of Lima, the “City of the Kings,” also a UNESCO World Heritage site, we visit the Larco Museum. Located inside a viceroy’s mansion built atop a 7th century pyramid, the museum displays an extensive collection of gold and silver artifacts as well as fascinating pieces of erotic art.
In the Sacred Valley of the Incas we experience Cusco’s famous Pisac market, which its many stands featuring the work of local artists and artisans, including paintings, carvings, jewelry, alpaca textiles, musical instruments and replicas of ancient Inca pieces. In Coricancha, the “Temple of the Sun,” we enjoy the impressive Cathedral in the Plaza de Armas and the Sacsayhuaman complex, whose megalithic block construction remains a fascinating mystery. Later that day we visit Ollantaytambo, an example of Incan urban planning whose residents still live by authentic ancient traditions.
Mid-journey we take a day of retreat at Willka T’ika, an eco-friendly retreat center offering gourmet vegetarian cuisine, yoga and exquisite gardens designed to complement the chakras. Here we pause for some teachings, integration, and a deep breath—literally—as we take part in the profoundly healing and transformative practice of Soulful Breathwork.
The investment in this extraordinary experience is only $2260 (double occupancy) and $2620 (single occupancy), not including international and domestic airfare.
